At Long Last Terps Set To Face GT

Friday, March 12th, 2010

It must be hard for a coaching staff to know you have a big game set for a certain date, yet not knowing your opponent until 22 hours before the game.  For the Terps, that has been the case, but now we know they will be playing Georgia Tech tonight at 7 pm.  We all [...]

Maryland vs Clemson Round Two

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

It is almost three in the morning and I am sitting in a parking lot waiting to see if this rain is going to turn to snow or not up here just north of Boston. So thanks to the wonderful world of droid apps, I figures I should write up a little preview for [...]

Cliff Tucker Saves the Day for Maryland Over Georgia Tech

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

I wanted to write about this sooner, but I was so pumped up, it would have been a bunch of nonsense.  Now that I have had some time watch some replays, and let my mind stop racing around, I can write something that will make sense.
First of all, the way the Terps rebounded today, they [...]

Keys For Maryland Vs Georgia Tech

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

I think going forward, we are all going to agree every game is a big game for our beloved Terps.  That is just a fact when you are still in the hunt for the top spot in the conference, and when those teams around you are on your schedule it makes them that much more [...]

Terps Continue to Roll at Home, Run UNC Out Of the Gym

Sunday, February 7th, 2010

Maryland continues to impress at home.  They rung up a 92-71 victory over the reeling Tar Heels.  It was a game that looked like Maryland was going to blow it up at the beginning, and Carolina made a game of it, before the Terps put them away late.
The first half was a shooting display that [...]

Vasquez and Hayes Lead Terps Past Noles

Sunday, January 10th, 2010

It looked like fine times at Comcast Center again tonight.  There was a little more intensity in the building, and a few more fannies in the seats it appeared.  The ACC opener was here, and for the first half it looked the Terps were going to make it a cake walk.
Eric Hayes and Landon Milbourne [...]

Another “W” and an Update

Monday, December 28th, 2009

If you are a glass half full type of guy, Maryland beat Florida Atlantic yesterday without much drama (72-59).  The Terps improved to 8-3 while Florida Atlantic fell to 5-7.  Landon Milbourne had 19 points, and Greivis continues to show signs of becoming himself again by putting in 26.  That is the good news.
If you [...]

Maryland Rolls as They Return From Finals

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

The brutally long break in Maryland’s schedule for final exams, is over, and the Terps played a solid game against an inferior opponent.  Winston Salem St. wasn’t exactly the toughest opponent on the schedule this year, but coming out of finals, I was impressed with the performance of the Terps.
First thing you had to notice [...]

This is Fun

Saturday, December 5th, 2009

I remember the days when I would get so excited for 3 or 4 days for a basketball game.  This week has been the same since the Terps beat Indiana.  With #3 Villanova coming into D.C. for the BB&T Classic tomorrow, the game has been on my mind non stop.  Even though the Terps haven’t [...]

Terps 09-10 Basketball Preview Part 1

Monday, November 9th, 2009

With Football’s bowl hopes officially off life support, it is time we look ahead.  Luckily for us, this year there is plenty to be excited about with Gary Williams’ basketball team.  The Terps return 4 of 5 starters, and all the key players off the bench, maybe (more on that later in part 2).  With [...]
