Turtledroppings.com Bowl Pick’em Contest FINAL Standings
The 2012 Season will be the year Alabama put their mark on their current dynasty, and the year Notre Dame, well they had a really good season. But ironically the break out star of the entire season may be AJ McCarron’s girlfriend. If you type in AJ MC…google will do the rest for you. I heard on PTI (which I watched for maybe the first time in 3 years today) that overnight she went from 45 Twitter Followers to 80,000+. Maybe that’s all I need, just a little screen time. Maybe my wife can get back into playing shape and make the Woman’s National Soccer Team to get me some screen time!
Anyway, sadly (for some, not so much for others) this brings us to the end of our contest. It actually ended prior to the Championship as my dad was already assured a win, but I hate telling people to abandon hope. So this is a bit anti-climatic, but congratulations to my old man. Not to make everyone feel worse, but I had to explain how to do this contest at least 3 times before he figured it out, and now he’s our Champion. Go figure.

And though we say good bye to College Football for 9 more months, we do have some good news in that this Maryland Basketball season could be pretty exciting, so we have that to look forward to. Anyway, thanks to all who played, I hope you enjoyed your free contest and to Dad, congratulations, I’ll get your prize to you soon enough.

Does your dad even know what to do with an iTunes gift card? I did pretty well for taking approximately 3 minutes to fill out my bracket. I will be running it back again next year.

I filled mine out in about 3 minutes too, but that was before I read the directions and had to have RIW3 explain to me the ranking part. Oh, and I do know what to do with an iTunes gift card, except for the part about how I actually get it to use

Great! While waiting, I’ve narrowed my choices down to 2 iBooks for consideration: Betty White’s “iTech for AARPS” or “How to Circumvent Background Checks when Buying Assault Weapons” by Charlton Heston. Can’t wait!
