Turtledroppings.com Bowl Pick’em Contest Update #4

Sunday, December 30th, 2012

I know, I know, the Men’s Basketball Team was in action yesterday.  Believe me, I was there.  They looked good, everyone did fine, and the crowd was actually pretty good considering school’s out and there was snow in the air, but I’m not going to talk about the latest cupcake devoured, we are strictly talking [...]

Turtledroppings Bowl Pick’em Update #3

Friday, December 28th, 2012

Let me preface this by saying that the Minnesota-Texas Tech game has not gone final yet.  I just have to get this update in while I have a chance.  Tomorrow, weather permitting I plan on heading up to College Park for the Maryland-Delaware State Basketball game, so I wouldn’t be able to update until later, [...]

Turtledroppings Bowl Pick’em Contest Update #2

Wednesday, December 26th, 2012

Alright, I’m back from my Amish Christmas (Mom doesn’t have internet or HD TV), hopefully everyone had (or is having) a great Holiday.  There were several game played between the last update and this morning.  Despite those five games being played there really wasn’t much of a shake up. J is still the man to [...]

TD.com Bowl Pick’em Contest Update #1

Thursday, December 20th, 2012

Sorry, this is late.  I lost the pools for a bit, but they have re-surfaced.  Please don’t let that be a reflection on my organizational skills.  Then again, me asking that, is like Chris Brown asking people to not judge his respect for woman based on his beating up of Rhianna.  So I guess I’m [...]

Taking Stock of Maryland Basketball

Tuesday, December 18th, 2012

I finally have some quality time to myself where I have nothing to do, so I thought I better write something on the old blog before my partner shuts me out!  I was going to write a football wrap, but lets be honest, what is there worth saying that my wife couldn’t some up in [...]

Terps and Big 10 TV Trouble

Tuesday, December 11th, 2012

Turns out the Maryland marriage to the Big 10 may not be as smooth as we all hoped.  Interesting article out of Baltimore Business Journal today saying there is no guarantee that Maryland games will be on the Big 10 network.  You can read the whole article Here. To summarize, Maryland could have as many [...]

Terps Cruise to Another Win Against Overmatched Opponent

Sunday, December 9th, 2012

Yesterday Maryland took down another opponent that was overmatched from the beginning.  South Carolina State posed little threat to the Terps yesterday.  The final score was 61-46.  The Terps didn’t shoot particularly well, shooting just 37% from the field and 22% from three.  They did however manage to shoot 81% from the line.  Alex Len [...]

Now the Exit Fee

Thursday, December 6th, 2012

Looks like I can’t let this go after all.  Sorry, for yet another rant, but I saw this in the Baltimore Sun and thought it was mighty interesting.  As we are all painfully aware, the ACC is charging Maryland $52 Million to leave the ACC.  And as we are all aware, Wallace Loh does not [...]

Terps to Face George Mason in the BB & T

Sunday, December 2nd, 2012

If you are nostalgic for the BB & T classic, or at least for seeing Maryland play in it, you should hustle down to Verizon Center today.  Turgeon has made it clear if this game lacks some fan support or atmosphere, it could very well be Maryland’s 18th and final appearance in the charity tournament.  He [...]
