I'm not an Edsall fan, but I'm heartened by where we are at this point. Sure we've needed Diggs spectacular play to keep us in a couple games. But thats football, and ignoring those plays is disingenous. Plus we shouldn't minimize the improvement on the D side of the ball. We are in no way close to where Fridge had us in the early noughts, but no one expects us to be this year, and frankly, if preseason ACC rankings are an indication of the respect our program gets, it wouldn't matter who was at the helm, we'll almost always be a perrenial preseason totum pole base. But unlike last season, someone has these kids believing. Maybe Edsall doesn't deserve this credit, but I'm encouraged by the kids' heart. Go Terps!

A tend to agree with Rin on all points. We need to find a way to get Diggs the ball. He is way to valuable to be a decoy.

Hmm, I think my glass is still half empty. I take a few plays by Diggs out of the equation and our season looks just like we all thought it would look. Diggs single-handedly beat Wake and UVA, and was a big reason why the WVU score was as close as it was. With the exception of the Temple game (and I think Temple pretty much gave us a lot in that game), our regular offense has been awful. The Diggs factor is actually what makes me even more disappointed in Randy...why are we still having such a hard time getting Diggs more touches? I'm looking forward to the new QB's but I have a sinking feeling when they really start to run Randy's system (vs. the watered down version they executed vs. NC State), things are going to look ugly again. Unfort, just in time for the conference elites so Randy will again have another scapegoat.
