With CJ out, We ALL Lose
As I sit down here at the beach, I decided I probably wasn’t going to post any material this week, unless some news broke that could not be ignored. Well guess what, it did. Not that anyone who is reading hasn’t already heard the news. Maryland will be without the services of starting QB CJ Brown.
It appears now, as of this writing that the Terps Offense will be led by Perry Hills. Never heard of him? Well here is why, he is a Freshman. Now unless he is Danny O’Brien, this can’t be good anyway you slice it.
For the Terps to lose Brown, you just can’t help but feel that a group of Hollywood Writers locked themselves in a room and wrote a script based on what could possibly be this teams worse case scenario going into the season. If that is the case, Bravo Gentlemen….Bravo.
This stuff is Oscar worthy.
But here is the real tradgedy, with CJ Brown going down, EVERYONE loses. Edsall has no shot of improving his nightmare first season, yet those who still want his head have to wait 365 days. I mean Anderson will only fire Edsall (if that is even possible) if he falls completely and utterly flat on his face again. And that may in fact happen, but Edsall now has a free pass.
How can you blame the head coach for having a sub par year when his only QB with any type of experience can’t take a snap.
Anyway you slice it, we all lose. Edsall haters, take a seat, you won’t have the podium for a whole nother season. Edsall supporters, sit down too, because another 2 win season isn’t going to help you either.
So there you have it. The only thing that could happen to Maryland Football where no one can find a silver lining. Usually this is the point where I try to say something hopeful like “At least we know it can’t get any worse” but I don’t honestly believe that any more.

If we lose them all, I don’t think even the loss of CJB can prevent Edsall from getting the axe.

At least we have some new uniforms to talk about.

Maryland doesn’t have the money to buy Edsell out. We’re stuck with him!

Doesn’t matter if MD has the money. Some booster will foot the bill.

Nice to see DOB named starter at Wisconsin. At least we all have an extra team we get to root for now.
