Terp Baseball, Get on the Wagon Now!!
The Terps Baseball team continues their impressive season (in the historical sense for Maryland Baseball). Last night they Walked Off the Dukies 4-2. Michael Montville hit a two run shot in the bottom of the 10th to take game one of this crucial 3 game set against Duke. Both Maryland and Duke are fighting to get into the ACC postseason and any win that comes at their expense can only help.
And if that wasn’t motivation enough, come on….it’s Duke!
Jimmy Reed got the job done on the mound scattering 9 hits for 2 runs over 9 innings. It was his second start of the season, after he went 8 innings in his previous outing. Overall all Terp pitchers are getting it done this year as the team ERA is 2.67.
The Terps will host the Blue Devils for Game 2 of the series tonight as they look to take their 2nd straight ACC series. Coming up for the Terps after the Blue Devils leave town is a game verse James Madison, then a quick trip to Towson, and the the Clemson Tigers come to town.
The Terps are now 23-13 and 6-10 in the conference.
