Huey, DUI, and Louie
I got nothing for those other names but the dreaded DUI has raised his head in College Park. Assistant Basketball Coach Dalonte Hill was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
For this still alleged discretion, Hill will be suspended for at least the Temple and Duke games.
Obviously drinking and driving is a serious issue and especially embarrassing for a public figure that represents a major university, but whatever problem Coach Hill has I am hoping he can work through it and do so while still a member of the Maryland coaching staff.
After all he is a big reason I have been so optimistic about the direction of the program. So here’s to hoping punishment is served, lessons are learned, and we can all move forward from this. Of course that is what I want, but the court of public opinion can often be more harsh in cases like this.
