Turgeon Names Assistant Coaches
Coach Turgeon has reportedly named his assistant coaches for his Maryland Basketball staff and I must say the Terps have some recruiting heavy weights for the Baltimore and DC areas. Bino Ranson was retained and should help build a pipeline to Baltimore.
The big get was Dalonte Hill from Kansas St. Ever wonder why Michael Beasley wound up in Manhattan Kansas from DC? Hill was the reason. He is very connected to DC AAU scene. He was also the highest paid assistant in the country at over 400,000 a season. It will be interesting to see what we pay him.
Finally, former Texas A & M assistant Scott Spinelli joins Turgeon at his third school now.
This staff is going to be highly involved with the AAU circuit and highly rated players from the area. Now it is time for them to make sure Nick Faust stays on board for this year.
There is a huge buzz surrounding these hires. I just hope the program doesn’t get in to deep with the murky waters of the AAU world.

Faust is staying! That is good news. They apparently have room for 5 more guys this year. I wonder if they will get Breunig back and a couple other guys.
