Maryland’s Terrell Stoglin Named ACC Rookie of the Week
We here at Turtledroppings have taken notice of Terrell Stoglin’s improved play of late, and apparently others around the ACC have as well. Stoglin has been named ACC Rookie of the week for his performances against Virginia Tech and NC State. For the week Stoglin averaged 25 points and 7.5 assists, while only committing 2 turnovers a game.
There is no doubt in my mind, that Maryland needs to ride his hot hand if they want to continue dreaming of playing in the NCAA Tournament. I also found it interesting that he is now the teams second leading scorer on the season at 10.6 points, while playing only the 6th most minutes on the team. Though those minutes have been on the rise of late as he has averaged over 28 minutes per game in his last three, including a season high 34 against NC State. I totally expect to see him in the upper 20′s from here on out.
He is becoming a reason to watch. He is electric, and you never know when he may go off. Sure Jordan Williams is the star of this team, but Terrell Stoglin may be the player that makes Maryland go. The question is how far can he help them go?

He reminds me of Vasquez. Very frustrating to watch at times and sometimes he does things that make you say “wow”.
