Nick Faust Decision Day Set for October 28th
Though we try here at TD.com to not put too much stock into recruiting, October 28 will be a big day for Coach Gary Williams and the Maryland Basketball Program. Baltimore Shooting Guard Nick Faust will make his decision on ESPNU. Nick is a 4 Star Recruit who has narrowed his choices down to Maryland, Villanova, and Florida State. The 6-5 Senior was at Midnight Madness and is ready to announce his decision. Check out the Baltimore Sun’s Matt Bracken’s article here.
The reason we usually shy away from recruiting is because of well…we’ve seen a ton of lightly recruited players make their mark on the University (Juan Dixon, EJ Henderson) and we’ve seen a ton of highly rated prospect do…well…very little. We hope Nick picks the Terps as it will be a huge get for the program and will help solidfy the Baltimore Pipeline. But if he doesn’t the world will keep on spinning. Hopefully though October 28th will be a good day in College Park.

Getting the kids out of Baltimore is a must, and everything I have read about Faust indicates he might be the real deal. Getting a Baltimore pipe line to Maryland would be the best thing to happen to Maryland since, well, Juan Dixon.
