Terps Offense a Little Lax

The Maryland Men’s Lacrosse team failed to advance to the final four, falling to Notre Dame 7-5 in Princeton, NJ today.  This makes this years classs of Seniors only the second classes since 1971 to have never played in a Final Four.  That fact will certainly increase the temperature of Dave Cottle’s hot seat.  Cottle’s Terps have played well in the regular season but haven’t gone deep in the Post Season, and now they will get to see a 9-6 Irish move on to take a crack at the National Championship.

On the woman’s side, there is a much happier ending, check that, there isn’t any ending….at least not yet as the Ladies move on today.  The Lady Terps beat the Penn Quakers 15-10.  Sarah Mollison and Caitlyn McFadden both had 5 goals to pace the Terps attack.  This will be the Terps 18th Final Four in School History.  This is also good news for our website since their isn’t too much else to write about at this time of year!

Extra Droppings:

As I’m writing this, I am watching some old 30 Rock’s that were DVR’ed, and per the episode I just watched, Liz Lemon (Tina Fey’s character) is a U of M graduate….GO TERPS!
