Terps Add Final Piece To 2010 In JUCO, Berend Weijs
According to Matt Bracken at the Sun, the Terps have added the final piece to the incoming freshman class, by signing 6-10 Juco Center, Berend Weijs. He will have two years of eligibility remaining after and will be available to play immediately.
There have been some rumblings around the message boards about a big on campus, and apparently they were true. He comes to us from the Netherlands via, Harcum (PA) College. He started every game, but averaged just over 20 minutes per game. His game appears to be defense as he averaged 4 blocks per game, including 15 in one game. I can’t imagine he will be a major contributor, but added depth down low, is never a bad thing. Welcome aboard, Berend!
