Terps Football to play Notre Dame in 2011

The Washington Post is reporting that Maryland will play Notre Dame at FedEx Field on Saturday November 12, 2011. This will be an off site home game for Notre Dame. The game will most likely be televised on national television.   Maryland last played Notre Dame in 2002 at Giants Stadium in N.Y.  They lost that game 22-0.  This is an exciting matchup for the Terps.

Ohhhh, in November, and it is a Notre Dame home game. I guess goes our chance at a trip to South Bend for a return visit. Since it is a Notre Dame home game, I wonder how many tickets Maryland will get for it. That is going to be a tough tickie I bet. I’m in. Just put it in my calendar for next year. Hopefully we have some offensive line depth by then!

Good match up and at least Maryland doesnt lose a home game. But still a little weird in regards to scheduling it at Fed Ex and in November.

Nice – looking forward to the matchup…a (very) speculative rumor has it that Mike Leech might be coaching Terps football in 2011. Whatever the case, let’s hope we post some points this year.

In the same month, but a year earlier, Terps Basketball will be in the Coaches vs. Cancer tourney. Possible matchups with Pitt or Texas.

You are still hanging on to that Mike Leech rumor huh? We shall see. I like the fact the Terps are playing in the Coaches Vs. Cancer tournament. I think it will help the new players get ready for the rigors of the ACC.

  5. JH Says:

Coaches vs. Cancer and this game are both big. Mike Leech will never coach the Terps. I’m sure Terrapin Club members will have an inside shot at getting tickets. The stadium can hold 90,000.

Should be a great match-up! Certainly will circle this date on my calender!

    Cheers!
