Count Down To Tipoff
We are about 3.5 hours away from the tip off in Spokane. As a Maryland fan, the wait is a killer. Then again as a Maryland fan, it is nice to have been able to enjoy all these other great games and not being upset about the way Maryland played. Think how Georgetown fans feel!
Anyway, I think the Terps can win this one. It is going to be important for them to get out to a great start. If you look at the games where they played well, you could really pin it to the start of the games. So, that is one key. I really feel the play of Landon Milbourne will be key. At this point I think we can count on Jordan Williams for at least 8-12 points and 8-10 rebounds. But the x-factor inside is going to be Milbourne. Look for him to be aggressive from the beginning. If Milbourne plays the way he did down in Greensboro, we should see the Terps moving on to Sunday.
Another key will be keeping Greivis Vasquez in check. I can see him trying to press to much, and perhaps trying to get into a one on one game with Aubrey Coleman. I will say I am less worried about something like that this year, than I would have been in the past, but you just never know.
So, as I am sitting here watching the Texas A & M-Utah State game, I am starting to really let my mind wander about this game tonight. I know I shouldn’t get to excited, but I really feel like they are going to play really well tonight. Stay tuned to find out.
