He needs to try and reign in some of those crazy shots, and ill advised three's, but I am standing by my opinion that this team is in trouble if he is not out there. I would loved to have seen him play with another true scorer, where he could run the point and shoot/score when it was there, but during his time, there hasn't been that person he could count on game in and game out. I will say Jordan Williams, is starting to click with him, and before the end of the season he may become that guy GV can count on to get position, and catch the ball and do something productive with it. You can tell Vasquez eats up running the show and passing, but there are times he gets in that mode that he needs to do all the scoring, and that is where the turnovers and forced shots come up like a last call shot of Jaegermeister! But I just can't help question whether or not this was the guy we were supposed to give the green light to. The guy who we let do absolutely anything he wants on the court and we're okay with it and chalk it up as, that's just GV being GV and "that's what you get from him sometimes." I can't name any specific player that I think should be 'that guy' so maybe the alternative is that nobody gets to be that guy and that they all have to play as a team by the same rules. I wonder if we could be just as good if after a wild turnover or stupid shot, he got benched. I'm not sure if that happened in prior years but I just don't see that happening now and I still see plenty of decisions that indicate he has not matured enough on his own to make the right decisions. Vasquez is the key to this team but he will be undrafted this summer. It's weird how you can love and hate the same person within the span of 30 seconds over and over again for 2 hours.
