Terps Stay in ACC Race With Win at NC State
It was not a pretty game, and right after half time when the Terps were forced to call another time out, I was starting to accept the fact that they were going to lose. However, they were playing NCST and they went cold and allowed Maryland to turn a 12 point deficit into a 67 58 win on the road.
The game started fine, but about midway through the first half the Terps got really sloppy and NCST got moving. In a game where Landon Milbourne scored 8 points and Eric Hayes was held scoreless Adrian Bowie provided a huge lift hitting a couple of huge threes that helped cut the lead. Greivis Vasquez had a bad first half with 4 turnovers. The second half he had 17 of his 26 points (even though he took some bad shots) and no turnovers to key the comeback. I don’t know what to say about Jordan Williams. He out played Tracy Smith again scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. He didn’t play a perfect game with some missed baskets close to the hoop and the missed free throws, but without him the Terps don’t win.
It wasn’t a pretty game, and the Terps were lucky they weren’t playing a better team. After all that it was a huge win on the road that they had to have. Check back later for more on this game.

This game was maddening. Hayes doesn’t score, Mosley just looks lost out there, and Vasquez was tossing the ball away in the first half. I almost turned it off at the half because I was sure they were going to lose. I actually have no idea how they won. Bowie and Williams really saved the day.
