Few More Thought on the NC State Win
First of all, I still believe they had no business winning that game. They are lucky they were playing NCST last night. I think Adrain Bowie deserves a lot of credit. He has been shooting woefully from beyond the arc, and last night he shot (and made) that pull up 3 in transition, and I about died. Where did that come from. That was not the shot I was looking for, but it worked out. He can be a dangerous player if his defender ever believes he is real threat to make a deep shot. He doesn’t need to be 45% or anything but if he could be in the mid to upper 30′s, it will help his ability to drive as well.
Speaking of three’s, was anyone sickened by some of Vasquez’s attempts last night? Even Gary, who seems to let Vasquez have a green light seemed miffed at some of his shots. Say what you want though, he came down the next time down and hit them. Again it is obvious he is the go to guy, and the team really needs him to score, a lot.
I think Jordan Williams deserves a lot of credit for the win as well. He was a man on the boards again, and when the Terps were getting beat on the glass, it almost seemed if he took the rebounding personally. Almost every single board was his late, when NCST began to struggle.
So it was a great game to win. They didn’t play their best, were on the road, likely tired, and still pulled it out. Up next is another big home game at Georgia Tech Saturday at 2:00.

Maybe I’m on my own with this thought, but Greivis can do whatever the hell he wants. We live by him…we die by him. I’ve come to accept that. But some of those misses were flat out ugly, just like the win.

Within reason I am fine with some of the shots, but at a time when they fought to get back into it, he threw up some garbage before the offense even got set up. I guess you could say the same thing about Bowie’s shot too though. I guess there is no line between Vasquez “feeling it” or forcing it. I guess you can equate it to “blinking” on the Coach K game. Vasquez is constantly “blinking” in his mind. Can you believe we bought a game with his name on it?
