Terps To Don Camo?
They are not reverting back to the days of Miami, when it was cool to wear fatigues while getting off the plane. The Terps (and South Carolina) are going to wear specially designed camouflage uniforms on November 14th vs Virginia Tech in honor of Veterans Day and in support of a program called the Wounded Warrior Project. Underarmour is is providing the uniforms and will have a Wounded Warrior patch on them. Here is more information on the Wounded Warrior Project.
I am all for the idea. I always like seeing the Padres rocking the Camo uni’s in baseball. Hopefully they look good. Now here is my guess of what they will look like. During the UVA game they were advertising the VT game was going to be the blackout. Now I am guessing we are going with some form of the black and white camo. I would actually prefer the standard green and brown, but we shall see what Underarmour comes up with. If nothing else, hopefully this game will shed some light on a good charity. I think I know where our tailgating fund is being donated that day.

You scared me with the Miami thing, but this seems pretty cool. At work I donate to the Operation Special Warrior Fund which is for kids of soliders who died during special operations, it is kind of similar, but in my office of 14 people, I was the only one to give anything to ANY charity. I found that very hard to believe! Sad really.

I’ve seen the uniforms. They are black with a little bit of tan and white camo on the sleeve. I was hoping for all camo.

Good move. VT won’t be able to see the Terps players and I’m predicting a score of 112-0.

112-0 sounds about right to me. Assuming you meant VT winning. And J, you don’t have to be rich to donated a dollar a pay! It’s the principal!

Really, camo? Im all for the reason and it is incredibly awesome to support the veterans and wounded soldiers, but my god I hate teams with camo. Cmon isnt the Ravens purple camo travesty enough? And unless this camo DOES make us invisible to the Va Tech players, there has to be a cooler way to pay tribute.
