Kicked While Down
Becasuse my internet sucks, I get to live this Wake Forest loss over and over everytime I read an article. At first I was glad I couldn’t see the last 3 quarters, but now I feel like I’m part of some crappy reverse Christmas morning where every present you open just gets worse and worse! For example, I had to read the Sun this morning to know Demetrius Hartsfield broke 2 bones in his hand. This will require surgery and then 3 weeks of recuperation (Thanks for the info Jeff Barker). The only thing is they don’t know when Hartsfield is going to go under the knife. Now I’m no Dr. Andrews, but I’ll be it is tough to tackle with broken bones in your hand.
So I’m guessing even if Hartsfield plays, he isn’t going to be 100%. And that’s ashame. In a season where we don’t have much to smile about, just the name Demetrius Hartsfield brings a little joy to every Terp fan’s face. I guess you could say he has the play of the year for 2009, and he’ll always be remembered for that. But it looks as though Hartsfield is also a star in the making. Say what you want about the University of Maryland, but you can’t say we don’t produce linebackers, and Hartsfield looks as though he is next in line. But that may have to wait.
In other news, Bruce Campbell is only questionable for the UVA game. That isn’t good. It looked like there was an outside chance he could go vs. Wake, but that got scratched. I was hoping since he was almost ok for Saturday that he may be probable for UVA, but not so much. Hopefully his status will change, but the way this year is going I wouldn’t count on it. Also OL Lamar Young is questionable as well. That isn’t going to help either.
Extra Droppings:
Going back to my computer problems. Though watching 5 seconds of football, followed by 5 second of buffering was TOTALLY maddening. There was some good. For example Torrey Smiths kickoff return in the first quarter was pretty neat. He’d run for 5 seconds and the screen would pause. When this happened you could look and say, “Oh there’s a hole there, if he can’t get through he’s good”. It was almost like sitting in the video review room at the field house. But don’t get me wrong, I’m not doing ESPN360 again until my internet service is upgraded.

What scares me is UVA looked pretty good, and Duke had it rolling against NCST. That doesn’t even begin to talk about VT’s defense. If we play like that again, we are not going to beat anyone. Of course NCST might be a toss up.

ESPN 360 works in the Airy! Almost too well. I kept seeing Wake score again and again.
