With so much going on in the football season, it was a nice treat to get a little basketball nugget today.  Senior PG, Greivis Vasquez is one of the 50 players listed on the Wooden Award Watch list for 2009-2010.  If Vasquez can maintain last season’s stats he will leave the school as one of the most accomplished players in history.  I think Vasquez will trade some of those numbers for team success though.

The Terps should be a top 25 team this year, and a consitant Vasquez will ensure they stay there and make a run in the ACC Tournament.  Look for the ACC to get their act together and release the basketball schedule in the near future.  Until then, it looks like it will be more football.
