At Long Last, ACC Realeases 2009-10 Terps Basketball Schedule
Let’s face it. Those of us that attended Maryland in Mid 90′s until Friedgen’s arrival, knew exactly when basketball season began, because football was usually over in late September despite what the schedule said. With that in mind, the ACC finally released the 2009-10 basketball schedule, and I for one can not be more excited. As much as I love football season, basketball will always be my true love at Maryland.
Taking a quick look at the schedule, and there are some good non-conference games highlighted by the trip to Maui, the B B & T Classic game against Villanova, and the ACC/Big 10(11) Non-Challenge game at Indiana. The prize of the ACC season is the 2:00 PM game with UNC coming into Comcast on Superbowl Sunday (Feb 7). The game at Duke on February 13, is being covered by CBS, and Duke’s return game at Comcast Center is March 3rd at 9PM on ESPN. Kind of seems like old times. Big games against the Conferences elite on national television.
I will leave my predictions for later, but here is the complete schedule courtesy of umterps.com.

Who is Longwood, and do we really play them in the middle of the ACC Schedule?

There is a Longwood Rec Center in Olney. Maybe they have a team. I’m looking at a 23-8 regulard season record. That should probably get us a 5 seed or better in the tournament.
