Darrius Heyward-Bey signs with Raiders
Reports this morning are that Heyward-Bey finally signed a contract with the Oakland Raiders overnight. No details have been reported. I think it is great that he will only miss one day of camp. Guys who get in late usually don’t do much in their first year. Best of luck Darrius. You are a Turtledroppings favorite.

5 years, $23 Million guaranteed, $38 M overall, with incentives up to $54 M. I can’t believe what first rounders make without ever stepping on the field. Good for him, but wow.

The Skins first round pick is only guaranteed 12 million. There is a steady drop off after the first 10 picks or so. They have to get paid up front because who knows how long they will last in the NFL. What ever happened to David Klingler and Andre Ware? (Ware actually does games for ESPN these days)
