Once again the Athletic Department has blessed me with something quasi important to discuss tonight.  The first three games have set times for kickoff now.  Of course we knew the season opener in Cal was set for 10:00 PM Eastern on September 5th (By the way if you would like to meet the authors of this beauty we will be there) in Berkeley. 

What we didn’t know was what time kickoff would be for the home opener the following week against JMU.  The fine folks in the Athletic department are giving us a 6 PM start as opposed to that awful 3:30 start time we had against Delaware last year.  So far there is no television for that game.  The following week (perhaps we should refer to it as revenge week?)  against Middle Tennesee State is set for 3:00 PM and will be broadcast on ESPN360.  Keep in mind Comcast picked up ESPN360 a week or so ago, so for those of us out of towners, that will be a plus. 

So there you have the early portion of Maryland’s Football Schedule, complete with kickoff times.  If you are worried about tailgate start times, just subtract 6 hours!
