Maryland and WVU Add Two More Games to the Rivarly

The Terps and West Virginia Mountaineers have added two more future game to the rivalry.  As of now it is only a home and home series with the Terps off to Morgantown in 2012, and WVU traveling to Byrd Stadium in 2013.  They are all ready set to face off in 2010 and 2011.  I have truly missed having them on the schedule.

I think all parties involved benefit from this game.  Sure WVU has Pitt as a rival, but both teams can use a game like this.  These are games that draw some national attention, fill both stadiums, and really get the fans of both team fired up for the game.

I for one love traveling to WVU for road trips.  Sure you will hear words that will make your ears bleed (same could be said for coming to Byrd I suppose) and there is a true hatred.  That being said, it is a great road trip, and usually a great game.  Put it this way, if it wasn’t for WVU, I may never have driven past Frederick in the great state of Maryland!

Wow, I’m surprised that you have never been as far west as Frederick without a WVU game being involved!

Maybe next time you can stop by Mt. Airy on your way.

Now that I think about it, I did go to see one of our Cumberland friends over winter break once, and I have been to Deep Creek Lake once. Where is this Mt. Airy you speak of? Must not be on a map!
