California Dreaming
First and foremost here, there is a much more important and relevant post below this one, so make sure you check it out. But I wanted to write this morning (I even got up early to do this, what dedication!). Being that this is Memorial Day both of us who keep this site going are going to be on the road. I’m not sure where Chris is heading, but I’m heading home for the Memorial Day Races up in Fair Hill. The thought of me betting on horse racing after my Kentucky Derby and Preakness picks is pretty frieghtening, but this is tradition we are talking about. I probaby haven’t missed this event for 20 years (Oh my God I’m old!). So I’m just going to have to try to somehow minimize the damage I do to my bank account.
At anyrate, I just wanted to let everyone know that I got my Airplane Ticket and Hotel Reservation for San Francisco this week (Via Orbitz…..sorry about that I just wanted to pretend we have an official sponsor like the people on TV and radio). It will be our pleasure this September to bring you live on the spot coverage of the Maryland-Cal game, including, but not limited to, all pre-game antics of the Wednesday to Sunday time period.
I normally can’t wait until Football season, and this trip is certainly not helping. Though we are finally officially into summer, (well by the Human’s Calendar, technically it begins around June 21st or so accordingly to the solstace), it still seems ages away. Regardless, it will get here eventually and for all of those left at home we home to help make you feel at least a little closer to the action. It is my hope that we will be able to post stuff a couple times a day, and have enough interesting things to say to make it all worth while. I personally think it will be a success, but even if it isn’t….I’m still going to San Francisco!!
