The Terps Men’s Basketball team held it’s annual Basketball Awards Celebration last week.  Gary Williams gave the team MVP award to both Greivis Vasquez and Dave Neal.  For Neal it was based on his much needed leadership, as much as his play.  Vasquez also won the award for the most assists with 176 for the season.

Landon Milbourne was awarded the Buck Williams/Len Elmore Rebounding Award.  Milbourne led the team in offensive rebounds, and was second overall in rebounding. 

Eric Hayes won the Most Outstanding Free Throw Shooter, Dave Pearman won the Maryland Basketball Athletic Award, and Dino Gregory earned the Most Improved Player Award.

Sorry I was a little late in reporting this, but last week was a pretty busy week for me.  Stay tuned for more on Spring Football, and the Lance Stephenson decision may come this week.  I am not expecting him to say he is choosing Maryland, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he did, seeing how this thing has went so far.
