Lady Terps to Take On Utah in Round Two

The Maryland Women’s Basketball Team will take on the #9 seed Utah after Utah defeated #8 Villanova on Sunday.  The Terps defeated Dartmouth on Sunday to set today’s 7:00 PM match up on ESPN.  The game will mark the final home game of Seniors Kristi Toliver and Marissa Coleman.  Toliver scored 23 of her 27 points in the first half.  That total was the same as the entire Dartmouth team.

The last, and only other time, the Lady Terps met the Lady Utes was back in the 2006 Regional Final, which the Terps won and moved on to the Final Four.

The way Toliver and Coleman have been playing the last month has been impressive, and I don’t expect them to go out at home.  They should win this one, and move on to Raleigh.  GO TERPS!

I’m going to try to make an effort to watch every Lady Terps game in the tournament. So far I’m 1 for 1.

I watched parts of the last one, but they took it to them early and I was more interested in the Flyers/Pens and then the Mens tournament. Seriously ever since I went to the national championship game I have said they deserve some respect. They play so hard and are talented. I have watched atleast parts of most games when they are on tv. They deserve that much from me. I wonder if I will be a bit nostalgic when I go to the Garden for the East Regional Games to the home of our Ladies Championship. That will be the tell tale of how big of a fan I am.
