Kristi Toliver Hits Yet Another Buzzer Beater For a Win
The Lady Terps escape Tallahassee with a win thanks to Kristi Toliver’s 3 pointer at the buzzer. FSU went up by two with 4.5 seconds left, and Toliver raced the length of the floor and pulled up for the three for win, handing FSU their first ACC loss. Toliver scored the final five points after converting two free throws after a a Marissa Coleman steal. Toliver and Coleman both finished with 15 points.
Now I admit, I am only a casual fan of the women’s team, but over the years Toliver has hit some amazing shots. If my memory serves me correctly she hit a 3 in Carmichael to beat the top ranked Heels a couple of years ago. I also think that shot was kind of a circus shot. She also hit the huge three against Duke in the national Championship game to send it to overtime. She has been clutch to say the least. Here’s to hoping they can make another run deep into the NCAA Tournament to cap off Coleman and Toliver’s senior seasons.
