My Bad
Uh, I don’t quite know what to say, but I somehow feel responsible for tonights loss. I bragged that this one was in the bag and that our Non Conference win streak was extended up until the Georgia Tech game and what not, but tonight brought back flashes of 2007-2008. I didn’t sit down on the couch from the tip to the final buzzer, but it seemed every time I looked up we were launching a brick, and of course Morgan State was always nailing a key shot.
I guess the best we can hope for is for this to serve as motivation that the team needs to come out strong every night. We will now have to go 9-7 in ACC play to get to 20 wins. I’m not saying it can’t be done, but I am saying 8-8 would be a lot more likely. So I guess all we can do now is see how they respond. But again, sorry about mooning the basketball gods, I won’t let it happen again.
Extra Droppings:
I guess the biggest irony of all is that every time this site opens up, WJZ has that Morgan State Ad under their banner. That thing is going to be taughting all year long.

You had to do it. You had to write about the streak against teams in MD. Next time you there is a streak to write about I hope it’s how we have LOST so many in a row.
I’m still angry about last nights game. What a joke.

Just so you know, I wasn’t the one who wrote about the streak against in state schools. I did already add this win to our win total which in itself is just as bad, if not worse.

I don’t think there is any way we go 8 and 8 in conference. Two games against Carolina, two against Duke, and one at Clemson will all probably be losses. That means we must go 8 and 3 against GA Tech x2, Miami x 2, at FSU, UVA x 2, Wake, BC, Va Tech, and at NCST. No way it will happen. I predict six wins at the most.

I don’t think it’s time to panic yet but things aren’t looking as good as they were yesterday afternoon. Neal is playing great but in the ACC he cannot be your best big man. Gary has to utilize Milbourne more. Feed him the ball, he is very athletic. If he were 2 inches taller I might say he is better than Gist.
