I Think We Got This One
I didn’t plan on writing anything prior to tonight’s tip, but I got to thinking on the way home. This has all the makings of a win. Now granted, I’m not going out on a limb here. UVA hasn’t been lighting the world on fire and they have to play in our gym tonight, but for anyone who has followed Maryland Basketball, you can see the writing on the wall. This is a typical Maryland win we are staring at.
The reason I say that has a little to do with what I wrote earlier about being done prior to Ground Hog’s Day. I don’t see it happening. Now I’m not saying everything is rosy, but let’s face it, our MO seems to be that whenever you are down on the team, they pull out a win to bring you right back in, and I can totally see that happening tonight. I can almost guarentee it. Of course this is the same guy who guarenteed we would beat Morgan State, and already counted it in our Win Column as I looked ahead to ACC play, but lets face it. There are two things that can happen tonight. We can win and continue the “What is this teams identity” roller coaster ride, or we can lose and hang it up.
If I know Maryland, we aren’t going to just fade away, it will be much more emotionally draining when we do finally fold, and that’s why I think Maryland wins tonight. I’m just not tired enough yet for the season to be over.
Extra Droppings:
Sticking with the Truck Commericals. For all who know me, I am a loyal Dodge Truck owner, but the commerical where they have the two Firemen, Cowboys, Contractors, and Military guys testing out the new Ram (I think it’s Dodge all the commercials seem to run together after a while), in the one where they drive through the explosion, they interview one of the fireman and he says breathlessly “I can’t believe they LET us do that!”. Why is he out of breath? Has anyone every gotten out of a car gasping for air hunched over before just from driving (had to throw “Driving” in there or it’s a whole different question), granted it could have been intense, but no one else seems out of breath. Put down the hose and run a few laps every now and then Tubby!

Maybe all of the oxygen in the truck was used up by the firey explosion. Haven’t you ever seen “Back Draft”?
