Humanitarian Bowl Prediction
The big day is upon us. We get to see the Terps play on the blue turf. It is hard to believe how quickly this time of year goes by, and how slow the time between this game and the 2009 season opener will take to get here. That being said, this is the last time we will see this group of 30 seniors play. Will this be the last time we see Heyward-Bey play? I am leaning toward yes, but you never know. Like I have said before it is not like we used him the way he could have been used. Anyway on to the game at hand. We are going to see this “pistol” formation that everyone has been talking about. It is a prime example of team changing things around to fits its personnel. I wish we were more flexible to do things like that.
My prediction is for a Terps win. I am thinking it will be very close and come down to the wire, but I think we are looking at something along the line of 27-24. MD will have trouble with Nevada’s offense, but will make just enough plays on defense to hold on for the win. Look for MD’s passing attack to really take off today.
On a side note I didn’t get to predict the NCST Rutgers game, but I would have lost that one. I had NCST winning, and it looked good until half time and until Russell Wilson got hurt. Oh well, I am now at 3-2 on my ACC bowl game predictions.
