Chalk Up Another

Not to be lost in the excitement of yesterday’s Humanitarian Bowl Victory the Men’s Basketball Team improved to 10-2 by knocking off Elon 76-50.  Elon came out with a little spark and built a slim lead early, but it wasn’t long before the Terps took over for good.  The Terps took a 36-23 lead going into half time, and used a 2nd half 21-2 run to put this one out of reach.  In fact I must admit I spent most of the 2nd half on the phone talking about the football game.

Not too much to take away from this game considering Elon was 4-4 coming in, but it’s another win to add to our resume, and you can’t ever have too many of those.  Looking over the box score, just a few things that jump out.  Dave Neal continues his breakout (Senior) season with 9 points and 10 boards, though had he not gone 0-2 from the free throw line I could have just simply wrote he had a double-double.  Landon Milbourne had 14 points and as usual Greivis Vasquez lead the way with 17.  The Terps also continue to sizzle from the foul line going 11-14 or 11-12 if we could toss out Neal’s 0 for effort.

Next up for Terp’s is a show down with Charlotte Saturday in College Park.

Extra Droppings

What is it with that commerical they keep playing during bowl games with the field hockey player?  The premise is that she is being recruited for Med school, but when they finally show the girl up close she looks like she’s 35!  Am I the only one who notices this sort of stuff?
